Kristian Morgan is going for the speed record (fastest known time) FKT on the Appalachian Trail for his 5th time. Kristian began his pursuit of the record in 2019, since then, he has set the southbound record (2023) which was held by the legendary Karl “SpeedGoat” Meltzer and in 2022 Kristian set the second fastest time in the world going northbound. So this gives Kristian the unique record of running the Appalachian Trail both north and south and under 90 days over two consecutive years.
Kristian fell in love with the trail when he was invited to run as a mule for the current record holder Karel Sabbe in 2018. To help with his record Kristian ran behind Karel for up to 36 miles each day for 15 consecutive days carrying his food, water, phone.
Kristian‘s enthusiasm for the Appalachian Trail is unparalleled. Follow along with Live Tracking and enjoy the journey as it unfolds day by day.
